Camping Taranto

Taranto is the capital of the province of Puglia and third most populous town in southern peninsular. Situated in your bay on the Ionian Sea, extends between two Mari: Mar Great and Small Sea. Together with Pilone, in the territory of Ostuni, and Santa Maria di Leuca, represents one of the top ideals of Salento. It is home to a large industrial and commercial port, and an arsenal of the Italian Navy, and the greater naval station. There is also an important industrial centre, with steel plants (including the largest steel to Europe), petrochemical, cementiferi and shipbuilding. The province comprises 29 municipalities and is dedicated to agriculture, fisheries and industry sectors in the aerospace, chemicals, food, textiles, and crafts in wood, glass and ceramics.
